DESCRIPTION

Students of SPAN 201 for the Spring 2018 created a digital portfolio to develop digital literacy and to incorporate L2 linguistic learning methods when using  digital and target language means of communication. For this semester, students both in charge of editing and the rest of the class worked hard to accomplish this stunning magazine. Feel free to explore the journey these bright minds lead us. DESCRIPTION

Students created this digital magazine that was utilized as (1) forms of formative and summative assessments; (2) instruction on the basis of technology and performance; and (3) collaborative work, skills that are fundamentals 21st Century Learning and Innovation skills (AACTE).

Mapa Virtual

SPA 102 (Spring 2017)

Platform: GoogleTour

DESCRIPTION

Students worked collaboratively in small groups to create an interactive virtual map with a curated collection of traditional Latin American food dishes. The virtual map contains locations, links to multimedia information on each recipe, and has made publicly available through GoogleTour, and the website of the Lower Division Language Program of the Hispanic Studies department at Texas A&M University. The objective of this project is to allow users to click on a geographical area to open a window containing the information the students have generated. 

This digital project was part of a educational grant. Proyecto Enseña Award (2017). Special thank you to the Department of Hispanic Studies at Texas A&M University.
